FOUR!

We've decided to keep the girls' birthday simple this year.  We went to see Frozen, and went to Five Guys, the restaurant they currently think is fantastic.  It was easy, simple, and made for a great New Year's Eve for all of us!  We will have a party for them later in the year, probably right around the beginning of summer, so we're able to enjoy the time, rather than cramming everyone inside our little house.

Abigail LOVES her strider bike.  It's been a fantastic addition, and she is doing a fantastic job progressing on it all over the driveway and grass.  Jacquelyn isn't quite so enchanted, so she's not quite as accomplished.  She's willing to try though, which is better than refusing, so I think that's fair. Abigail seems to really like running, jumping, and playing around outside, while Jacquelyn is much more of an inside kinda gal.  With the exception of puddles.  Any puddles in remote vicinity to either girl and they are instantly jumping in it.

We'll be starting a garden this year again, and the girls have their very own box to put something in.  I'm not sure what they'll pick yet, but I'm hoping it'll be a bit more successful than last year, when all they wanted to do was dig everything back up again!  They understand that's where we get some of our food, so hopefully they'll enjoy helping to keep it up and going.  While the girls are great at listening, Abigail has a stubborn streak, so I assume we'll have to watch her a bit more carefully around things she isn't supposed to touch.  She's already tried to pick all the brand new flowers coming through the ground..."because they're lonely" she says.

Both babies love dresses, so we operate on a dress-a-day schedule.  :-)  Convincing Jacquelyn she needs to wear pants is almost impossible, and more often than not, if she's got pants on in the morning, she will have sneakily gone back to her room to remove them by afternoon.  Abigail is a bit easier on pants, but she is growing SO fast that it makes it hard to keep them long enough anyway.  She's a good inch and a half taller than Jacquelyn now!  We're still much smaller than average (like we're at 3% on the growth charts,) but the girls don't seem to be struggling in any way, so it seems like 3% or 93%, it doesn't much matter to them.

One minor escapade ensued with Abigail's newfound activity levels-she was "spinning for Mama" when we were getting ready to go one day, and fell really hard forward.  She hit her chin on the floor, and we ended up in the ER.  Not a major catastrophe, but I couldn't get it to stop bleeding, so we went there instead of on our errands.  A little human-safe super-glue later, and she'll have a neat little scar on the underside of her chin that likely no one will ever see.

Here's hoping 4 is fantastic, and I remember to include more information a bit more frequently this year!
